About VetPharm

Data status
Most drug entries are built from FDA-approved animal drug labeling (via DailyMed), with the source label linked on each drug. Some entries are extra-label — uses with no FDA animal label, compiled from published references. The dataset is not exhaustive and absence of a listed drug or interaction is not evidence of safety.
Where a dose comes from
- FDA-label Dose from FDA-approved labeling.
- EXTRA-LABEL No animal label — reference dose; confirm against your clinic's protocol.
- DVM REVIEW REQ'D Compiled draft, not yet verified by a veterinarian — a DVM must review before use. Removed once verified.
Severity scale
- Contraindicated Never combine.
- Major Avoid; combine only with strong justification and monitoring.
- Moderate Usable with monitoring/dose adjustment.
- Minor Low clinical significance; be aware.
